In the heart of Jönköping, Sweden, logistics giant Dachser partnered with stow to transform their warehouse operations. This ambitious project included 10.000m² of warehouse space, 6.200m² of cross-docking, and 1.600m² of office space—all the racking, shelving, and cantilever systems completed under just one month.
Dachser is a globally recognized logistics provider that specializes in intelligent supply chain solutions. Founded in 1930 and headquartered in Germany, the company offers integrated logistics services, including transport, warehousing, and customized industry solutions across land, air, and sea.
The installation addressed several challenges with advanced storage solutions, ensuring efficiency and optimized space utilization:
- Maximizing pallet storage: The warehouse needed to accommodate 12.000 pallets while maintaining accessibility. Solution: Pallet racking systems, standing 11 meters high, provided the necessary capacity with a tailored design featuring customized frame and beam colors to align with Dachser’s branding.
- Storing oversized items: Handling long, bulky products required a specialized approach. Solution: A 40-meter single row of cantilever systems, standing 9.5 meters tall, efficiently managed these oversized goods.
- Complying with fire regulations and optimizing order picking: The shelving needed to meet strict safety standards while supporting picking efficiency. Solution: Shelving units with 1,500 mesh shelves ensured compliance and included light beam levels for quick and accurate order fulfillment.
- Enhancing small item organization: Managing smaller inventory items called for additional organization tools. Solution: Plastic bins with drilled holes in were integrated for streamlined and accessible storage.

Engineered for durability and performance
The installation was designed to meet Dachser’s rigorous requirements. Unique frame-end protectors, also known as ‘flower boxes,’ safeguard the infrastructure while maintaining aesthetics. Each bay offers an 18.000kg load capacity, with clear heights of 2,5 meters on the lowest levels, suitable for 1.000kg pallet dimensions.
