Tiel, Netherlands – 15 July 2025 – stow, a global leader in racking systems and industrial storage solutions, has successfully delivered a safe, scalable and futureproof racking system to Intergamma, the parent company of Dutch DIY retail giants Gamma and Karwei. Intergamma’s ambitious project to consolidate five aging distribution centers into a centralized 94,000 m² warehouse in Tiel now stands as a beacon of logistics innovation and sustainability.
Faced with outdated facilities that hindered efficiency and scalability, Intergamma partnered with stow to equip their new warehouse with cutting-edge racking solutions. The comprehensive system included the installation of 45,800 pallet locations, designed to meet the demands of their growing omnichannel operations. Completed within a tight nine-week schedule, the installation seamlessly integrated safety enhancements such as rack sprinklers and mesh walls, ensuring a durable and secure warehouse structure.

The new facility optimizes Intergamma’s logistics workflows, reduces lead times by at least one day, and aligns with the company’s commitment to sustainability. stow utilized locally sourced steel from Ghent and Antwerp, employed waterway shipments to minimize transport emissions, and recycled residual steel during manufacturing. These environmentally-conscious practices underline stow’s dedication to green logistics solutions.
Intergamma’s new logistics hub now positions the company to handle the complexities of modern retail with greater efficiency, enabling them to serve their nearly 380 stores across the Netherlands and Belgium more effectively.
