Optimizing storage with precision-engineered racking solutions

Equipping a state-of-the-art warehouse in France

A leading global logistics service provider recently expanded its operations with the construction of an 84,000 m² warehouse in France. To fulfill the storage and picking needs for a major e-commerce client, the facility required advanced racking systems tailored for large-scale operations.

Divided into 14 storage areas of 6,000 m² each, the warehouse presented a unique challenge. Each rack system included 14 levels with dual-sided access, designed to maximize storage efficiency and streamline logistics operations.

To offer real-time updates on construction progress, stow equipped its fleet with tracking devices, enabling continuous supervision of truck routes and ensuring all systems were assembled with precision and delivered on time.

Delivering powerful solutions to match expectations

The logistics provider, boasting over 100,000 employees and operational presence in 130 countries, entrusted stow with the racking requirements for their new facility. This decision reflected the client’s confidence in stow’s reputation for manufacturing excellence, global engineering standards, and reliable execution.

Excellence in execution

Thanks to meticulous planning and the synergy between stow’s sales, design, purchasing, assembly, and transportation divisions, the project was completed within the agreed timeline. Over the course of 12 weeks,

up to 30 assemblers worked simultaneously across the facility, supported by 20 aerial work platforms and forklift trucks.

Transporting the equipment required roughly 250 truckloads, including 100 provided by stow’s proprietary fleet. Each stage of the implementation reinforced stow’s commitment to reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
