Traditionally coils are piled on top of each other in a pyramid shape. But this method presents problems for fragile rolled materials.
For one, picking an individual coil is not ideal. When the bottom coils has to be picked, the coils piled above need to move first, making the process labor-intensive.
Secondly, the bottom coils will carry a lot of weight from the ones that are stacked on top. This makes the lower rolls prone to damages.
To counter this, stow offers cradles to store these fragile rolls and coiled materials.

The cradle beds are mounted onto the selective pallet racking and are designed for maximum support of fragile coils. This design allows to pick each roll directly from the rack, without putting it in another container. By eliminating the carrier, no time is wasted for storing and picking the roll from the container.
