When Mark and Paul Donnellan were opening their 5th Tyre & Automotive Service store in Melbourne they knew who to call for the customised racking solution required to optimise productivity, space utilisation and employee safety. Paul and Mark have relied upon stow Australia to design, install and service their tyre racking, shelving and storage solutions for the last 10 years.
Donnellans The Tyremen pride themselves on their industry knowledge and customer service; they have over 50 years’ experience in tyres, wheels, brakes, suspension, wheel alignment and vehicle servicing. As a result, they know what works and what doesn’t when it comes to storing and picking tyres. So, when Donnellans decided to close their Box Hill store and relocate to a new store in Blackburn they called stow to buy back their existing racking and design and install a new 3-tier raised floor storage area. The racking and shelving solution were designed to work in conjunction with a pulley system for lifting tyres from the ground level and a chute for dropping tyres from above to the ground.
“We had a general idea of what we wanted to do with the empty space, but we really appreciated the advice that the stow team was able to provide to finetune the design and installation of the racking,” said Paul, co-owner of Donnellans. “They were happy to work with us as we modified the design 5 – 6 times before we got it right, and even after the job commenced, we were able to make a couple of design tweaks.”
