This was the challenge given to us by a multi-national 3PL company entering the Australian market with 2,500 customers globally in various industries, such as automotive, electronics, machinery, chemicals, oil refining, construction, distribution, food, energy, and fashion. Their aim is to join the ranks of world-famous logistics businesses based on an innovative mindset and a willingness to face every challenge.
This basic philosophy is applied to all its services and to its suppliers. So, when Detlev Goedbloed, stow Australia’s Major Accounts Manager, was told by the 3PL company that stow Australia had won the contract for the design and installation of a racking and storage solution at their new Melbourne DC he quickly got into action. “Speed is essential in our market and our ability to successfully install the complete racking solution in 2 weeks was a key factor in being selected as their trusted supplier”, according to Detlev.
To meet this timeframe, stow Australia was able to supply all beams and frame components onsite from its stock within 48 hours. Supporting materials were quickly ordered and delivered from our supplier network and one of our installation teams was soon onsite to build and stand the frames.
