Crop's is going to build a new deepfreeze warehouse at their production site in Ooigem (Belgium). The new high-bay warehouse will be built next to the existing freezer warehouse and production plant.
The contractor Egemin has partnered with stow to build the Silo construction. stow Silo clad racking is a cost efficient storage solution where the racking is also the load-bearing construction of the warehouse.

Automated deepfreeze warehouse

The clad rack construction will be 82 metres long, 38 metres wide and 41 metres high, making it the highest deepfreeze warehouse in the Benelux.
With its 15 storage levels and five crane aisles it will provide space for over 20,000 pallets of frozen vegetables and fruits. The Clad rack will be automated with five AS/RS stacker cranes and a conveyor system, controlled by the Warehouse Management System software.

Construction is scheduled to start mid-september. This entire project will take approximately one year to complete.
